The new Hitachi Elite Open MRI scanner at BMI The Ridgeway Hospital, Swindon is proving to be a great success. Since its installation in January 2009 we have received very positive feedback from our patients.

With its airy open design and a weight capacity of 500lbs it is ideal for patients who are unable to be scanned in a conventional tunnel style MRI either due to size or claustrophobia. Noise reduction technology also ensures a quiter more pleasant experience.
